The Cellar Door is the place to be every Sunday night for a comedy show to remember!  Shows begin at 7pm and there is cover charge and order minimum.  Check out the website to confirm details.

The year is 1868 and the war between our states ended three years ago. The Deadwood townsfolk (that's you) have gathered at the Saddle Up Saloon for vittles (food) and square dancing to celebrate the end of the cattle drive. Please come to the jamboree dressed as a cowboy, saloon girl or gunslinger and enjoy an interactive, three-course meal!

Whodunnit for Hire and Dutch's Daughter Restaurant present "Wanted Dead or Alive" the interactive murder mystery game set in the year 1868 in a saloon of the wild west. Must be 21+

Experience an enchanting start to the holiday season as Downtown Frederick transforms into a winter wonderland, with luminaires and tree lights, live music, outdoor lounges and shopping for all. Plus, the highly anticipated Downtown Frederick Light Walk is back!

Go to Springfield Manor for an exciting night of line dancing, food trucks, and craft beverages! They will have several professional line dancing instructions giving line dancing lessons all through the night. The dances take place to all different types of music and all different skill levels are welcome! Line dancing will take place outdoors unless due to rain the event is moved indoors. Don't worry, the dancing and fire pits are sure to keep you warm all night! Food trucks will be on site and their regular food menu will be available.

Doors open at 5:30pm lessons and dancing starts at 6pm. There will be a (cash or card) bar for food and beverages as well as food truck options. Ticket includes access to the event and dance instruction.

This is a 21+ event.

The Ladies of Laughter Funny & Fabulous tour includes winners and the best talent from its heralded international stand-up competition.

The Funny & Fabulous Tour includes winners and the best talent from the heralded Ladies of Laughter international competition, the one-and-only women’s comedy programming with the sole purpose of highlighting, celebrating and furthering the careers of women in stand-up comedy. See 3 past winners, including Alycia Cooper, with totally unique backgrounds and sensibilities.

Nothing brings back the yuletide spirit quite like the Maryland Christmas Show. For the 41st season visitors from near and far will discover the joys of shopping at Maryland's premier Christmas event. The Maryland Christmas Show, located in historic Frederick City, brings together many fine artisans and merchants to make your holiday shopping an enjoyable event.

The show offers seven buildings. You'll enjoy the works of top artists and craftsmen offering fine art, pottery, furniture, jewelry, clothing, wreaths and garlands, toys and Christmas ornaments - just about anything related to your Christmas shopping enjoyment. Not all of the same exhibitors participate in both weekends.

The Maryland Christmas Show makes shopping fun for everyone from gram to grandchild. So don't forget, we're a two weekend event. Wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing as you'll be moving between seven heated buildings.

Paula Vogel’s thought-provoking play tells the true story of a Yiddish theatre troupe’s resilience as they bring Sholem Asch’s controversial play God of Vengeance from its 1907 Berlin premiere to its censored 1920s Broadway debut.

Paula Vogel’s thought-provoking play with music tells the story of the true events surrounding Sholem Asch’s controversial drama God of Vengeance, from its celebrated premiere in Berlin in 1907 through its European tour and arrival on Broadway in the 1920s– where it met with censorship and obscenity charges. Indecent is a tribute to the joy of theatre through the eyes of a Yiddish theatre troupe and the artists who not only dared to challenge the world, but also changed it in the process.

Come to Carroll Creek Park on November 23rd as the 2024 – 2025 fleet sets sail! There will be music and food trucks to spectators to enjoy! Walk along the creek and see first hand what goes in to this incredible display and vote for your boat while you’re there. The Dapper DJ's will provide a sea shanty sound track while you safely watch cranes, forklifts and crews secure the 2024 for their season long voyage. The Garage will be on site to fill your bellies!

Part of the creek WILL BE CLOSED to the public for safety so please view the launch from the suspension bridge or the delegated part of the amphitheater.

The fleet includes gaff-rigged ketches, yawls, three-masted schooners and pirate ships, moored with their sail outlines, rigging and decks lit up every day from dusk till dawn. If you can’t imagine it make sure to come by and take a look at the amazing flotilla!

Not only are these boats easy on the eyes, they raise money for good causes! Vote for your favorite and you’ll be donating to a selected charity at the same time. Learn more about the organization at coloronthecreek.com.

Please be cautious and careful as this is an event with heavy machinery and there will be plenty of safe viewing area on the suspension bridge.

Step back in time to the Christmas season in the 1800s and discover Elizabeth Ann Seton’s inspirational story from those who knew her best. A guide will lead you by lantern to the historic homes decorated for the Christmas season.

You’ll encounter beloved friends of Elizabeth Ann Seton who will share stories of her life, as well as the legacy that they’ve continued since her death in 1821. Plus, enjoy our grounds illuminated with 1,000 luminaries. This is the only time of the year when you can see the two homes, where Elizabeth Ann Seton lived and worked, lit by candlelight.

Candlelit Guided tours begin every 30 minutes from 4pm-7pm. The Visitor Center, Basilica and Gift Shop will be open until 8:00pm each night. For questions, call us at 301-447-6606.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Come to Dancing Bear for the first-ever Mrs. Claus Cookie Celebration! While supplies last, decorate a festive cookie, make ornaments with pipe cleaners and beads, and write your letter to Santa at our letter-writing station! Mrs. Claus will be in attendance. This event is free and intended for kids of all ages.

In the 19th and early 20th century, Christmas in Catoctin Furnace included a visit from Belsnickel to the homes of German immigrants. Belsnickel rewarded good children with treats but carried a switch to punish naughty ones. Belsnickel will once again visit Catoctin Furnace during Traditional Village Christmas.

After meeting Belsnickel, kids can make a holiday craft while you shop for unique handmade gifts at a European style holiday market. You can choose a fresh wreath to decorate with bows, balls, bells, pinecones, holly, icicles, and ornaments. Make your own or let our designers create one for you. Watch a blacksmith at work, pay a visit to the historic F.W. Fraley General Store, and enjoy live bluegrass holiday music. If hunger strikes, you can grab breakfast or lunch from a food truck, enjoy hot apple cider, and heirloom-recipe baked goods. Enjoy a traditional holiday in Catoctin Furnace.
