See the Boats Day or Night
The 2025-26 Sailing Through the Winter Solstice display takes place from November 2025 to March 2026. Open 24 hours a day.
You can view the boats anytime day or night. In fact, you may want to take a look while it's light out and again after it gets dark and the lights come on. Lights typically turn on at sunset, so this is a great time to see them both ways.
Sailing Through the Winter Solstice is a fundraiser - visitors can vote on their favorite boat, with donations supporting local non-profit organizations. The 2024-25 season raised more than $140,000 for charities in Frederick County!

LOVE ON THE DOUBLE: A Valentine’s Day Bus Tour in Frederick, Maryland
Get swept up in romance this Valentine’s season with the 2026 Love on the Double tour from Maryland Double Deckers. Step aboard at JoJo’s Restaurant & Taphouse in Downtown Frederick for a delightful 45-minute ride through heart-warming sights and charming stories.
Along the way, you’ll enjoy a special stop at Rare Morsel (formerly Perfect Truffle), where you and your partner can savour artisan chocolates, take advantage of an exclusive discount on tasty treats, and enjoy a sweet indulgence from this beloved local chocolatier.
After your journey, return to JoJo’s for a complimentary champagne toast to celebrate your evening together. Dinner reservations at JoJo’s will be secured where guests may order from a pre-fixed menu. Seating times will be based on your tour departure. Please note the cost of dinner is not included in the ticket price.
Tours depart at 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. Guests on the 5:30 pm tour will be seated for dinner at 6:30 pm, while guests on the 7:00 pm tour will be seated at 8:00 pm. Dinner seating is limited to 1 hour and 15 minutes to allow for table turnover.
All of this romantic fun is just $75 per couple, making it a sweet and memorable way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with someone special.
