Kids’ sensations Laurie Berkner and Milkshake have both been part of the series, exposing more children than ever to the magic of the performing arts.

This event is geared to entertain preschool and early elementary-aged children.

All performances are free to the public. In lieu of admission, the Summerfest Family Theatre Committee invites attendees to bring a canned food item to donate to the Frederick Food Bank. All donations can be brought to the Drees Homes Information Booth.

Rain Policy: Concert cancellations are rare but if needed will be announced on www.celebratefrederick.com.

Come join us at Links Bridge on Sunday August 10 an afternoon of community effort to remove old tires and other debris from a section of the Monocacy River. We will have a food truck and music down on the bank of the Monocacy. Dōp Pizza will be making wood fired gourmet pizzas, and Vinyl Fever will be “rocking the river” to celebrate the day.

The young and the brave can wade down the river in search of old tires and other trash. If you have a canoe or kayak, you’re welcome to bring it along, as it will be useful for finding and moving tires. If you plan to be a tire hunter, make sure to wear water clothes and shoes.

If you don’t plan to join the hunt, we’d love to have you here anyway. You’re welcome to come, watch, and enjoy the food, wine, and music. Kids will love the excitement and the invitation to get wet. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

Bring chairs or a blanket to sit in the shade on the grass.

There is no charge to attend, but please RSVP by phone (301-602-5733) if you’d like to come so we can prepare. RSVP early to reserve a parking space near the river.
