RINGING IN 2023 AT THE KEY DROP

Ring in 2023 and celebrate the 275th anniversary of Frederick County at the annual Frederick Key Drop!   Take your family down to the Carroll Creek Linear Park and enjoy a yummy cup of hot cocoa as our beautiful town of Frederick drops a Key to ring in the New Year.  Reminiscent of the ball drop in Times Square, Frederick began their own version by dropping an illuminated Key, in honor of Francis Scott Key, on the William O. Lee Pedestrian Bridge near the C. Burr Artz Library.  The Key was created by Ms. Caitlin's School of Blacksmithing.  This free event is hosted by the Civitan Club of Frederick, Sailing Through the Winter Solstice and the Frederick County 275th Planning Committee.  The first 275 attendees will receive a free commemorative 275th key chain! The event officially kicks off December 31, 2022 at 10:00pm with music, cocoa and Candlelights on the Creek and then wraps up at 12:30am.  This is a perfect way to kick off 2023 with friends and family!
