In this 1.5 hour class for adults in The Learning Kitchen at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm, you will understand the range of strawberry possibilities including pickling, curds, creams, and cakes. Chef Mark will demonstrate 3-4 recipes based on what is ready for harvesting on the farm that day. All berries will be fresh from Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm where we use no chemicals in growing our plants.

  • Chef Mark will describe how we grow strawberry plants here and why he selected these varieties for Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm.
  • As he demonstrates 3-4 recipes, he will provide you with ingredients and materials lists, show you techniques for maximizing flavor, getting your cakes the right consistency, making the creamiest curds, getting just the right pickle.
  • You will get to taste the raw strawberries and the demonstration recipes, and try out some preparation.
  • Bring home recipes, great memories, and samples from class!
  • Opportunities to buy the fresh berries right after class.

No cooking experience necessary. We provide hot coffee, hot tea, and cold water. Feel free to bring other nonalcoholic beverages with you.
